iPhone 4s iOS 9 Release: 7 Important Details

iOS 9 could be the iPhone 4s' last major iOS update. The fact that it's even getting iOS 9 came as a big surprise and it would be even more shocking to see Apple keep it around until the release of iOS 10 next year. Apple is unlikely to confirm its plans until WWDC 2016. 

What we do know is that the iPhone 4s should get any and all iOS 9 updates. And that means the rumored iOS 9.1 update. 

According to MacRumors, Apple is in the process of developing an iOS 9.1 update for iPhone and iPad and it appears that it could arrive in the fall alongside a 12-inch iPad Pro. Others believe that this could be the case as well. 

If this is true, we could see Apple continue with its fall iPad event and its fall release of a major iOS update. Last year's iOS 8.1 update came much earlier than usual and arrived in October alongside Apple Pay and new iPads. 

iOS 9.1 might not be the iPhone 4s' first iOS 9 update but there's a good chance that it will be its first major update to the iOS 9 operating system.
