iPhone 5S Coming to Retailers Soon

Published

on

While retailers like Best Buy and RadioShack have remained mum about the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, we can confirm that at least one large retailer has plans to carry the iPhone 5S.

The iPhone 5S will be coming to at least one major retailer in the United States, this according to a reliable source familiar with the plans of that retailer. The source told Gotta Be Mobile that the retailer does have plans to carry at least one of the new iPhones though we would not be surprised to see it add the iPhone 5C, Apple’s new plastic iPhone, as well.

They would not confirm when the retailer would have new iPhone stock available only that it would be arriving at some point down the road. In the past, we’ve seen retailers offer up pre-orders for the iPhone ahead of its release date though it’s clear that that won’t be happening this time around. We’ve also seen retailers offer the new iPhone on release day, so we could see the device emerge there on September 20th.

Apple’s new iPhone will be coming to at least one major retailer.

Without pre-orders, buyers are going to have to try and pick up the iPhone 5S on its September 20th release date. We expect the device to be available online and in-stores through Apple and AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. Third-party retailers would offer buyers another option should an Apple Store not be in close proximity or if carrier stores prove to be too crowded.

Of course, iPhones have been limited supply through retailers like Best Buy and Walmart, but they still offer iPhone buyers options on release day, something that will be especially important this year. If one major retailer is carrying the new iPhone then we expect other carriers to follow suit. The big question now is when they will have stock available to consumers looking to buy.

Apple announced the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S release date at the end of an event today in California.

The iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C will push out the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4 and join the iPhone 4S on shelves come September 20th. The iPhone 5S uses a design similar to the iPhone 5 though it will be coming with some upgrades including a fingerprint reader, upgraded 8MP camera, an A7 processor, and new colors.

The iPhone 5C will be Apple’s $99.99 iPhone and it will come with a plastic shell, 8MP camera, LTE data speeds, A6 processor and Apple’s new iOS 7 software.
