There Are iPhone 5s iOS 9.2 Problems

You should know that there are iOS 9.2 problems plaguing iPhone 5s users. Not a lot of them but enough that you should take notice.

iPhone 5s users are complaining about problems with AirDrop, issues with UI speed, new problems with Apple Music, problems with the camera, issues with messages, problems with overheating, and more. Again, we haven't seen any issues other than the UI speed problems.

We expect the list of iOS 9.2 problems to grow as time goes on but the important thing is that we haven't heard about any widespread bugs or security problems. At least not yet.

If you haven't installed iOS 9.2 yet, make sure you dig into potential problems before you download the update for the iPhone 5s.

I upgraded from 9.1 to 9.2 this morning and boy do I regret it! My battery is draining like crazy, even with minor usage. Easily four or five times as fast.

My iPhone 5s is best it has ever been on 9.1, the battery life was terrible when I got it at launch, couldn’t get past mid day and I had to use one of those giant battery cases for two years. Since upgrading to 9.1 its been like a new phone, I can easily get through till mid afternoon or even all day if I’m not using it too much with a full charge, just as well because it wouldn’t accept the battery after the update ;-)

Question, can you downgrade again if you back up?

Nick, if I were you I’d just stick with 9.1 unless you have any problems with it that 9.2 is supposed to fix. If not just stick with it. From what I’ve seen 9.2 is aimed at people with the newer iphones.
And you can go back to 9.1 after upgrading, there are instructions on this site and lots of others on the interweb.

My iPhone (5S) is also acting really weird. It is showing restart screen every 2-3 minutes. Plus drained 100% of battery in approx an hour.
