The iPhone 5S name is set for the new iPhone according to a Japanese tech blog, which if true points to an “S” refresh and an iPhone 6 in 2014.

Shoppers and publications have used the iPhone 6 name for the new iPhone in 2012, but many signs point to an iPhone 5S name for the iPhone we expect to see on September 10th, leaving the iPhone 6 with hopes of a bigger display for 2014.

Apple ‘s routine points to a tick-tock iPhone release cycle which means a iPhone 5 followed by an iPhone 5S, which is what this latest report indicates.

Macotakara, a Japanese tech publication that covers Apple claims an industry source confirmed the iPhone 5S name for the new flagship iPhone expected to be introduced in September. The report also claims the iPhone 5C name is correct and will identify the budget plastic iPhone model which we expect Apple will unveil at the same iPhone event in September.

The report’s source also lines up with an analyst note pointing to an iPhone 5S with an Apple A7 processor and an improved camera. A new report today also indicates the iPhone 5S will feature a dual-LED flash with two different colors that could help users take better looking photos in poor lighting conditions.

The iPhone 5S name and iPhone 5S leaks point to an iPhone with a similar design to the iPhone 5 and the same 4-inch Retina Display as the popular iPhone model.

Despite calls from a former Apple ad exec and consumer interest in the iPhone 6 name, the iPhone 5S appears set for a reveal on September 10th.

The iPhone 6, which many some users are looking forward to this fall, is not likely until at least 2014. Following up on Apple’s release cycle, the iPhone 6 would feature a new design and possibly a larger screen. Several analysts expect an iPhone 6 release in 2014, and reports of an iPhone 6 prototype with a bigger display trace back to late 2012.

The iPhone 5S announcement is expected on September 10th, with a possible release before the end of the month. This event could also deliver the iPhone 5C, a plastic budget iPhone available in a multitude of colors.

One rumor points to a shortage as the iPhone 5S release arrives thanks to a rumored fingerprint reader. We also expect to see the iOS 7 release alongside the new iPhone 5S in September. iOS 7 will come to many Apple devices including the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

The Samsung Note or Galaxy are looking better by the minute. I love my iphone but I wanted a bigger screen and have been holding off on my upgrade for two years. Might be time for a change. :(

If apple was smart, they would let us know their plans of a larger screen. I’m ready to get the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 this fall, but if I knew apple is releasing a iphone with a larger screen I’d wait for apple. Too many marketing games, just give us the straight out facts so consumers can make a decision.

I am waiting for Apple to come out with a bigger screen…. I am sick of tired of Android phone….. too much disappointment with their lagging/ freeze and bloatware Android OS system. I’m hoping Apple surprise us NOW (iPhone 6) like they did with iPad Mini surprised last minute!
