iPhone 6 Availability Now Completely In Stock

Published

on

We knew it would happen eventually, but the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have both completely caught up with demand and are now showing in stock and ready to ship in Apple’s online store.

All models and storage capacities for the newer device are now shipping within 24 hours, which is the standard for all Apple products in the company’s online store, including the new unlocked SIM-free iPhone 6 model that Apple recently launched.

On Apple’s online store, buyers should select the “SIM-free” version of the iPhone 6 if they want to buy a completely-unlocked model, and prices start at $649 for the 16GB 4.7-inch iPhone 6.

The pricing is the same as the current T-Mobile iPhone 6 models, starting at $649 for the 16GB unit, while the 64GB and the 128GB models will be priced at $749 and $849, respectively. As for the iPhone 6 Plus, you can plan to tack on $100 to these prices, thanks to the larger 5.5-inch screen and the better camera.

While this is good news, it wouldn’t be the first time that Apple has made completely-unlocked iPhones available for sale on its online store as well as in its retails stores. Both the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5s were available unlocked a couple months after their initial releases.

iPhone 6 availability has been improving slowly over the last couple of months, especially around Christmas as many shoppers bought new iPhones for their loved ones as gifts. Just a week before Christmas, 16GB and 64GB models of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus improved from a ship time of 5-7 days to just 1 business day, which was a huge improvement that close to Christmas.

Furthermore, the ship time of the 128GB iPhone 6 remained on back-order for the most part at 3-5 business days, which is still a big improvement since a couple weeks earlier when the estimated ship time was a whopping 2-3 weeks.

Ever since the release of the iPhone 6 back in September, the device has been on back-order, but if you have a local Apple Store nearby, you can usually find them in stock without a problem.

One tool that we loved using for finding the iPhone 6 in stock was iStockNow, which is an online tool that shows iPhone 6 availability at Apple Stores in the US and Canada. While there’s not much need for the tool anymore, it can still be worth looking at to see if your local App Store has a specific model in stock.

However, it’s also probably a good idea to call your local retail store just to make sure that the iPhone 6 is in stock, even if the tool says it is.

I ordered mine from Rogers the day it was released. An iPhone 6 Plus 128GB. I’m still waiting for it to this day. Apparently still no stock in any Rogers store in Canada.
