A brand new iPhone 6 concept borrows fantasizes an iPhone 6 Pro that would be in direct competition with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and better yet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that is rumored for release in the second half of the year.

It’s still early in the year but already, we’re hearing rumors about two of the biggest unannounced devices of 2014. The first, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, a device that is supposedly going to replace the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in the second half of 2014 and possibly deliver a number of brand new features including a three-sided display. The other, the iPhone 6, Apple’s rumored Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 competitor that will likely replace the iPhone 5s and quite possibly, the iPhone 5c as well.

While we still don’t know what the real iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will look like, a new iPhone 6 concept imagines a true Samsung Galaxy Note 4 competitor, complete with a rival for the Galaxy Note’s bundled stylus, the S Pen.

ConceptiPhones has designed a brand new iPhone 6 concept dubbed iPhone 6 Pro. The device ropes in a number of high-powered features to deliver a device that would likely be tempting to those that not only want a sleek looking smartphone but one that comes with a built-in stylus, just like the Galaxy Note.

This new iPhone 6 concept a metal design that is just 7.2-millimeters thin, thinner than the iPhone 5s which stands at 7.6mm thin. It also comes with a Touch ID home button that features a notification light built into its rim for added support. It offers an edge-to-edge display that showcases what appears to be its version of iOS 8.

It also comes with a 3MP HD front-facing camera, a 16MP camera in the rear, an Apple A9 chip instead of an A8 processor as iPhone 6 rumors suggest, and a heart rate sensor that mirrors a feature that Samsung included on board its brand new Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 utilizes a heart rate monitor that is built-in near its camera sensor.

Their concept also features one of the unique features that comes on board the Samsung Galaxy Note and will likely come on board the rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 4. This iPhone 6 concept offer users a built-in stylus called the “iStick” that presumably allows users to write and draw and takes advantage of built-in iOS 8 software features.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note series has been successful thanks to the wide range of features that accompany the device’s S Pen. The S Pen takes advantage of a number of applications that help to make up the core Galaxy Note experience. A powerful note taking app called S Pen allows users to easily take down notes in the workplace or in the classroom. The S Pen is also small enough that it can be stored inside the Galaxy Note’s built-in holster.

Unfortunately, this new iPhone 6 Pro concept does not pull from the extensive iPhone 6 rumor mill and isn’t likely to emerge on physical shelves in the real world anytime soon.

In recent weeks, iPhone 6 rumors have begun pinpointing everything from its screen size to its release date to its camera technology. Unsurprisingly, the iPhone 6 is expected to feature a number of upgrades over the iPhone 5s.

iPhone 6 rumors almost exclusively point to an iPhone 6 with a larger display. Since last year, rumors have pointed to two iPhone 6 models. One model is said to be between 4.5-inches and 4.7-inches in size.

The other is thought to be somewhere around 5.5-inches or 5.7-inches with HD resolution. The larger model, if real, would put the iPhone on par with the Samsung Galaxy Note and quite possibly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

A 5.5-inch iPhone 6 may not arrive in time to compete with the Galaxy Note 4 on day one.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 rumors point to an arrival later on this year with a number of potential upgrades from last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The Galaxy Note 4, according to Samsung, will launch in the second half of the year with a brand new design. The company still hasn’t detailed the changes or the launch date though the device is expected to arrive in and around September 5th, the start of IFA.

In an effort to combat Apple’s yearly iPhone release, Samsung always improves on the Galaxy Note’s hardware and software. The Galaxy Note 4’s specs are thought to include an upgraded display, improved processor, LTE-Advanced for faster data speeds, and perhaps, some changes to the touch portion of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 screen. The improvements could bring improved Air View, Air Gesture and S Pen support to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy smartphones.

While the Galaxy Note 4 appears set for its usual launch, it’s still not clear when, or if, the larger iPhone 6 will arrive. A recent report from Reuters casts doubt on Apple’s supposed approach.

The report claims that Apple may have delayed the larger iPhone and that it will be the 4.5-inch to 4.7-inch iPhone and that makes an appearance later this year. In fact, rumors are starting to point to two possible iPhone 6 releases this year. EMSOne, Reuters, Ming-Chi Kuo and Steve Milunovich from UBS all point to a delayed release for the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 though it’s not clear how much of a gap there might be between the two.

Interesting but I think the Note series is well ahead of what Apple can do right now. Also, iStick sounds silly to me. Apple should just ‘stick’ to what they’re best at but competition is always a good thing.

How does a mythical “product” compete with a real one, just out of curiosity?
