iPhone 6s vs Galaxy S6: Specs

To be honest specs really don't matter, as they're both extremely powerful and run completely different OS versions making this irrelevant, but some like to see it all laid out in easy to read terms. With that in mind, here's the numbers.

iPhone 6s Specs

  • 4.7-inch 1334 x 750p HD Retina Display
  • Apple A9 processor with 2GB of RAM
  • 16/64/128GB internal storage (no micro-SD slot)
  • iOS 9
  • 12 Megapixel iSight Rear Camera (4k video recording)
  • 5 Megapixel front camera with Retina Flash (using the screen at max brightness)
  • 1,810 mAh battery
  • 3D Touch Feature

Galaxy S6 Specs
  • 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD AMOLED Display
  • 8-core Samsung Exynos processor with 3GB of RAM
  • 32/64/128GB internal storage (no micro-SD slot)
  • Android 5.1 Lollipop
  • 16 Megapixel Camera with Optical Image Stabilization, more
  • 5 Megapixel front camera
  • 2,550 mAh battery with Fast & Wireless charging

Apple and Samsung aren't making the choice easy for anyone, that's for sure. Two thing you can't ignore are the bigger screen, and the charging methods Samsung employed here. Fast Charging takes the S6 from 0-50% in 30 minutes, and 100% full in around 90 minutes. The iPhone 6 and 6s recharge pretty quick, but it certainly doesn't feature wireless charging, but could with the iPhone 7.

These are a few areas Samsung wins here, but iPhone and iOS has always been pretty decent on battery life. Surely the new A9 processor has some energy-saving features, as does iOS 9, but the iPhone 6s has the same tiny 1,810 mAh battery inside, so we'll have to wait and see. It didn't get very good battery life last year.

This one is a toss up. To each his own.

The key difference is that one runs iOS and the other runs Android. You USE the OS and the apps. You do NOT use the screen resolution and nobody notices the differences between these CPUs during actual USE of the device. If you say do, then you are a liar. It’s like the old days when Windows users bragged about their CPU being .25 ghz or whatever faster than a Mac. Give it a rest.

A 750p screen on the brand new iphone 6s and apple charges over $1000 for this top line flagship phone. Android budget phones have 750p screens. WoW!

Samsung is the kind of phone I have. I have an S5 and I actually think I will never need another phone in my life. VERY easy to use, the autocorrect is NEVER a problem, and the camera is wonderful!!! that plus expandable storage…you can get SD cards of different sizes at places like Best Buy. I walked into the store on the day that I was going to get my phone, ready to get the iPhone 5, but then I played with the Samsung and made a quick decision change. I’ve had my phone for over a year now and I never want to get rid of it. It’s perfect.

S6 is still much better than iPhone 6S with features like high resolution screen, fast charging through adaptive fast charger and even Samsung’s latest Note 5 support fast charging with fast wireless charger for Note 5. Samsung is way better than Apple.
