The LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens app for iPhone and Android is a free to play game that allows users to take control of LEGO characters from the latest Star Wars movie and guide them through the plot of Episode VII.

In addition to the movie, you can unlock an play untold stories that work up to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, adding background to it.

Users can play as Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO and BB-8, as well as Kylo Ren and General Hux.

What’s In the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens App?

As we mentioned, this is not just a mobile version of what you can play on the Xbox or PlayStation. This app is not a companion app that allows you to continue your progress, but it does share many things with the game.

There are new mechanics in the game that include, “Multi-Builds, Blaster Battles and enhanced flight sequences.”

When you are playing you can choose to build in a variety of ways. Instead of just solving the puzzle, you can also build for fun. No matter how you build, it will advance the story in some manner.

There are new Blaster Battles and high-speed arial fights that take place in space.

The LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens app is free to download and to play, but after you get started you will need to pay to play later levels and unlock all characters.

Purchases are made through the app store can unlock The Force Awakens chapters 2-9 for $6.99 that include new levels, stories and characters.

Players can also pay $9.99 for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Season Pass that includes The Force Awakens, Prologue: Battle of Endor, three new adventures and four character packs.

Parents can disable in app purchases in the iPhone settings to prevent this.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Ratings

The LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens rating is 9+ on the App Store. This is due to Infrequent/Mild Cartoon or Fantasy Violence.

Parents can download the app and play through part of it to check the details, but if you are OK with your kid watching the movie and playing with LEGOS, this app is likely something that fits your guidelines as well.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Android Release

There is no LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens app yet, but one is coming. Warner Brothers does not offer a LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Android release date, but states, “The mobile game will be coming soon to Google Play for Android devices.”

Until that arrives don’t bother downloading any LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens apks or looking for an off the Play Store download since it will not work.

There are no LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens cheats or cheat codes for iPhone or iPad. We don’t expect any for Android either.
