Lenovo Shows off Multi-touch Display

Published

on

Stephen Miller from Lenovo showed me the L2461 display today at CES 2010. The 23″ display is attractive and has a thin profile, but what’s really special is that it’s touch-enabled. This means you can turn any Windows 7 notebook into a touch device when you’re using it at your desk. The display can recognize two touch points at a time. At the bottom of the screen are a handful of touch zones for launching multimedia applications and functions. I like the fact that the display can tilt back about 40 degrees so you can lay it down at about the same angle as a drafting table. The 2461 goes on sale next month for $699.
