Lots of Bars, No Signal at CES 2010

It’s pretty common for iPhone owners to complain about not having enough bars and dropping calls on a regular basis. Today I had all the bars I could ask for, but still couldn’t place or receive calls at will. In fact, when Sumocat and I were trying to find each other my iPhone had five bars and a little 3G symbol in the top-left corner of the display. But apparently that’s not good enough to be able to make a call. When I tried to answer Sumocat’s call my iPhone rang once, then ceased ringing. When I tried to calling back the call failed. After trying a few more times I was finally able to get through to Sumocat. Speaking of fail, I have a sneaking suspicion that things are only going to get worse for iPhone owners once the masses descend on Las Vegas starting tomorrow.
