Madden 15 Release Date: 10 Things Buyers Need to Know

In less than a week the new Madden release date is here and you can start playing Madden 15 early if you subscribe to one of two EA special programs on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3.

You don’t need to pre-order Madden 15 to buy one on release day, but you can get a few special bonus items that you’ll actually use if you jump on a Madden 15 pre-order and one store promises a $10 reward that you can use towards your next purchase.

Read on to learn what you can expect on the Madden 15 release date, and what’s coming in the new Madden game for 2014. We’ll also point you to the best Madden 15 teams and show you where you can see the highest ranking Madden 15 players.

There are many reasons you should make sure to buy Madden 15 on PS4 or Xbox One if you love all of these new features.

Madden 15 starts at $59.99 and is available on Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360. There is no Wii U Madden 15 release and the mobile version is now called Madden Mobile.

Madden 15 Release Date Expectations

The Madden 15 release date will not include a sell out at any store unless EA royally screws up this launch. With a game this big and that comes out each year they know how many copies to prepare for the Madden release.

You can still pre-order Madden 15 and get a special stadium at GameStop. If you put down as little as $5 on the Madden 15 pre-order at GameStop or pre-order at Best Buy or Amazon you can also score free Madden Ultimate Team packs to help build your Ultimate Team.

You can walk into any place that sells video games and walk out with the new Madden game on the Madden 15 release date.

Madden 15 Demo Isn’t Happening

EA will not offer a Madden 15 demo release this year. If you want to play Madden 15 early you’ll need to use one of the services that you can pay for on Xbox One, Xbox 360 or PS3. There is no option for the PS4.

You can also go to a GameStop location starting on August 22nd to play Madden 15 early on one of their demo machines. Expect this at most GameStop locations, but if it is a drive away you’ll want to call ahead.

Madden 15 Special Editions

There are two versions of Madden this year including a special Madden 15 Ultimate Team Edition. The regular version of Madden 15 is $59.99 and available anywhere.

Madden 15 Ultimate or Madden 15 Ultimate Team Edition as some retails market it is $10 more and includes $40 of extra Madden Ultimate Team packs including a Draft pack. There is also a special Madden 15 Xbox One bundle that includes a free digital copy of Madden 15. This is the $399 Xbox One without a Kinect, so keep that in mind before you buy.

EA Access Madden 15 Release Comes Early

If you want an early Madden 15 release date you won’t need to look for a retailer selling it early. Just join EA Access for $5 a month and you can play early.

The big catch is that you only get six hours of gameplay, so you won’t actually get to play all the Madden you want ahead of the release date. This is only on the Xbox One.

If you are on the Xbox 360 or PS3 you can get in on the last year of EA Sports Ticket and you’ll get to play Madden 15 early as well as NHL 15 and FIFA 15 — and you get a bunch of Ultimate team packs included with the $19.99 fee.

Madden 15 Deals

There is one huge Madden 15 deal available so far. You’ll need Madden 25 and a free My Best Buy account to cash in on this deal that drops the overall price to just $15 after rewards and coupons.

Take Madden 25 for Xbox One and PS4 in and get $25 in trade in plus a $10 coupon for $35 total towards Madden 15. If you pre-order you get a $10 reward certificate after your purchase pumping the value up to $45 and leaving you with $15 for Madden 15.

If you have Madden 25 for PS3 or Xbox 360 you can still get $15 in trade in value and chalk up a total of $35 towards the game. This runs through August 23rd and you’ll need to use the coupon by August 30th.

Madden 15 Digital Downloads

We know there will be a Madden 15 digital download on the PS4 and the Xbox One, and there is already a listing for a Xbox 360 Madden 15 online.

You can pre-order the PS4 Madden 15 digital download and pre-load it for play right at 12:01 eastern on the Madden 15 release date.

The Xbox One Madden 15 bundle includes a digital copy of Madden 15, which means there must be a digital version coming, but we don’t know if it will arrive at midnight eastern or if Microsoft will continue the midnight pacific release timing.

So far there are no listings for Madden 15 Ultimate edition on PS4 or Xbox One.

Madden 15 Midnight Release

GameStop and Best Buy are open for a midnight Madden 15 release date, in case you cannot wait to play. You’ll need to find a store that is open and head there before 12:30AM.

Most GameStop locations are open for a midnight Madden 15 release starting at 9PM and they will allow people to complete payment for a faster pickup at 12:01AM.

Best Buy Madden 15 midnight openings are slimmer, so be sure to check and see if your local Best Buy is participating before you venture out.

Madden 15 Gameplay Videos
