Madden 15 Release on iPhone, iPad, Android is Madden Mobile

Published

The Madden 15 release arrives this fall as Madden Mobile on the iPhone, iPad and Android devices. This is not the same experience that the full Madden release offers, but mobile users who want to play the new Madden on iPad, iPhone and Android are in for an update.

Fans waiting for the Madden 15 release date on consoles can add August 26th to their calendar as well. EA announced Madden Mobile shares the same release day as the console version.

It would be amazing if this was a companion app that delivers CoachGlass to Madden 15 and an awesome second screen experience for the Madden Ultimate Team mode, but this is standalone Madden for iPhone, iPad and Android.

The Madden 15 iPhone, iPad and Android release is called Madden Mobile.

In Madden Mobile you can build a custom team from the best players and take your new Madden team against friends in head-to-head gameplay. You can play through a full NFL season or play the new Live Events.

Just like there are challenges in Madden on the Xbox One and PS4, you can play these mobile Madden Moments by entering Live Events.

EA describes Live Events as, “quick, fun challenges that will dynamically update throughout the season. Hop into fast-paced challenges that offer awesome rewards, including new player packs, coins, special players and more.”

This is not Madden 15 for the iPhone and iPad, which is good. Unless you have a nice controller, playing a full on Madden 15 release on a tablet or iPhone would be frustrating. EA designed Madden Mobile specifically for the iPhone, iPad and Android with touch and swipe controls designed to help you, “run, juke and spin,” around your opponents.

EA calls this an offensive shootout, but there is no sign that you won’t be playing defense in Madden Mobile.

At this point we don’t know if EA will charge for Madden Mobile, but there is a very good chance you’ll be able to download it free, and even play for free up to a point. With Madden 25 for iPhone and iPad EA pushed in app purchases for Madden coins and other in-game consumables you need to build a decent team and play.

If EA sticks with the same approach for Madden Mobile, aka Madden 15 for iPhone, iPad and Android, expect to see in-app purchases from $4.99 up to $99.99.

Madden 25 iPhone and iPad reviews complained about the limited number of games you can play in single player mode without constantly spending real money and the beating you’ll suffer if you play multiplayer without spending money to improve your team.

Others complained about the need to use Facebook to save your game progress, and offered no option to play without Facebook once it was linked.

With the continued push to make more money off mobile games through these types of releases, it is not a stretch to expect that EA will continue on this path.

The Madden Mobile release date is August 26th on the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store. There is no Windows Phone Madden Mobile at this time.

For gamers that are looking for Madden 15 deals to make playing digital football easier this fall, Best Buy combines a number of deals that chop the price down to just $15 when it’s all said and done.

EA is not offering a Madden 15 demo this year, but if you subscribe to EA Access on the Xbox One you can play Madden 15 up to five days early, without buying the game. Essentially there is a paid demo, but you get more than just access to Madden early on the Xbox One with this purchase.

Don’t buy anything from EA or any other mobile gaming organization that add crazy in app purchases. I don’t ever download any free apps period, I rather pay 14$ for something like soul calibur android and play until the wheels fall off without spending more money…This is out of hand but I can guarantee that organizations like EA are on their way out of big profits like the old school music Giants and soon tv/cable corps…DONT BUY
