Midnight Madden 15 Release Date Events Announced

The Madden 15 release date includes several midnight openings for gamers who cannot wait to play the new Madden game. There are not as many stores offering a midnight Madden 15 release, but we’ll let you know where you can start looking. As the Madden release gets closer expect to see more options arrive and more details to fill in the blanks.

Best Buy and GameStop are planning midnight Madden 15 release date events for gamers to come grab the game as soon as it can go on sale.

This is better than a digital purchase for many gamers on the East coast, who need to wait until 3 AM eastern to download the game on Xbox One and possibly hours more before they can play the new Madden. The PS4 offers pre-loading to download the game early, but there is no confirmation of an east coast midnight Madden 15 release time.

In addition to the formal midnight Madden 15 release date events at GameStop and Best Buy, gamers may also get fast access at Walmart or Target who also sell the game and many of their locations are already open all night anyway.

Best Buy Midnight Madden 15 Release Details

The Best Buy midnight Madden 15 release details are not fully formed yet, but they do plan to open many stores at 12:01 AM local time to sell the new Madden as soon as possible.

Best Buy includes the following teaser, “Share the excitement with other fans at stores that will open at 12:01 a.m. to sell Madden NFL 15 as soon as it’s available”

Not as many Best Buy stores are open for this event as we see for major releases, so be sure to look before you pre-order for pickup and go stand in line. Smaller Best Buy locations are not opening at midnight for this. Only six Best buy locations in Ohio open at midnight for the Madden 15 release date.

GameStop Midnight Madden 15 Release Details

The GameStop midnight Madden 15 release date plans are less concrete at this time, but the store normally opens up late for Madden release events.

We don’t have confirmation of any GameStop Madden 15 midnight release events yet, but for Madden 25 most stores offered the following.

Open at 10PM to finalize the transaction and get the painfully slow part of midnight releases out-of-the-way. The next two hours may include some type of tournament for gamers to play Madden 25 or if they are lucky Madden 15. Some stores may offer prizes. GameStop will likely keep stores open until 12:30 AM to complete sales.

There is already one Facebook event for a GameStop midnight Madden 15 release event in Virginia with a tournament promising a free copy of Madden 15 to the winner and second and third place don’t need to wait in line. Although this appears to be organized by a third-party, access to the front of the line suggests this store already knows it will be open for a midnight Madden 15 release.

We’ll see more details from these stores and from others as the Madden 15 release date approaches. We may also see Walmart jump in with a tournament of some kind. We expect a Madden 15 demo in two weeks, which could be when EA announces more information.
