Minecraft Story Mode is Coming Everywhere Minecraft Already Is

Mojang and Telltale say that the Minecraft Story Mode release date is set for 2015, but hasn’t been more specific. What we do know is that Minecraft Story Mode won’t require gamers to invest in a different console.

Minecraft Story Mode is coming to Macs running Apple’s Mac OS X operating system. Presumably, players will be able to download that version through Steam and the Mac App Store. It’ll be joined by another version made specifically for PCs running Microsoft’s Windows operating system. It’s not yet clear if this version will be for Windows 8 and Windows 7 PCs or require Windows 10. Presumably, It’ll make an appearance on both platforms. Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles are getting a version too. Launching alongside them will be Minecraft Story Mode releases for the PS4 and PS3.

On mobile iPhone, iPad and Android users can expect a version of Minecraft Story Mode. Windows Phone isn’t mentioned in Telltale’s press release, but it’s possible that’s an oversight. It’s hard to imagine the game won’t be coming to that operating system Microsoft owns Mojang and Minecraft.
