Motorola Droid Bionic Cases for New Design Start to Arrive

Published

on

Yesterday, we learned that the Motorola Droid Bionic might be missing that rumored August 4th release date in favor of a launch in September and I’m sure that left a few of you disappointed. It’s time to turn those frowns upside down though as  there is now some evidence in the form of cases on Amazon and a Chinese retailer that puts wind back in August 4th’s sails.

In a bit of good news, a case for the new Motorola Droid Bionic has appeared on Amazon’s website for $10 and while that’s certainly not a guarantee that we’re going to see something in the near future, it’s definitely a good sign and puts a little bit of credibility back into that early August release date. It’s also makes it pretty clear that Motorola’s latest design for the Bionic is going to stick.

The cases also confirm the design that we saw on that Best Buy a short time ago as the new Droid Bionic takes on a familiar Droid look and ditches that rounded form factor that we saw at CES.

Now, as exciting as this is, we should also point out that another Motorola superphone, the Motorola Dinara, leaked out today and it’s looking like it could be a phone worth waiting for.

However, if you’re not budging from the Droid Bionic (and I don’t blame you), it looks like something official is just around the corner.

If we keep waiting for the latest and greatest to come out, we will never get a new phone.  I’m not sure how the Dinara fits in with the two quad core Motorola phones (Jet and Bullet) due out in the first quarter of 2012.  Will you have to wear a battery pack on your back for these phones?
