The updates to Motorola’s roll out schedule for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean were made today, shortly after the company started rolling out Jelly Bean updates for both the Motorola Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX HD on Verizon. Those two devices along with the Motorola Droid RAZR M were the first three to receive the updates. Now, it seems, Motorola is gearing up for more.

The Atrix HD Jelly Bean update will roll out this month.

In the United States, Motorola has now confirmed roll out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean windows for a trio of devices including the Motorola Atrix HD – one the companies latest smartphones, the Motorola Xoom LTE and the Motorola Electrify M. Motorola says that the Atrix HD Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will be rolling out at some point during the month of December though it doesn’t say exactly when.

As for the Xoom LTE and the Electrify M, their Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates will begin at some point during the first quarter of 2013. The first quarter consists of January, February and March so it could be more than three months before owners of these devices see the update. Owners of the Droid RAZR HD and Atrix HD in Canada will see their Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates roll out at some point in Q1 as well.

No specific release month was given for any of the devices.

No other big name devices on the list were updated which means that owners of the Droid 4, Droid Bionic and Photon Q will just have to wait longer for potential roll out windows for Jelly Bean.

At this point, at least for Droid Bionic owners, the fact that the update is still a possibility should be a good feeling.

Android 4.1 brings quite a few new features to the table including improved Notifications, updated suite of Google applications, better Browser and Calendar, and a smoother, faster UI and more.

by the time Motorola gets the update out to the Original droid razr we will have see android 5.0 and i will be ready to upgrade to a NON-Moto device, they have become the slowest to update devices and being owned by google should make them the first to update all devices!

Amen mp46241. What the heck kind of writer are you? You say that moto just unveiled details? They told that about a couple weeks ago. They are already starting the roll out of jelly bean. Stop reporting old out of date news…

My family and company have been faithful Motorola users since before 1999. I have the Electrify M, and was wondering when it would get Jelly Bean – with it, problems with the Android NFC, the Circles widget and other glitches will be fixed, hopefully. Other than the circles widget occasionally freezing, I am very pleased with the Electrify and will continue to buy their quality products. I still have my first phone, a Moto RAZR V8, and despite being run over, stepped on and accidentally dropped in a pool, it worked fine for the four years I had it. (I bought it used) Motorola is a great brand, and I hope it stays that way.
