New Touchscreen Coming in 2008

Ubergizmo is reporting that there is a new style of 12 inch touch screen coming our way in 2008.  Measuring in at the same thickness as a regular LCD screen it might make it into more devices…  or maybe not depending on the price of it.    What makes this special is in-cell touch input, meaning there isn’t a need for a separate layer on the screen.  Look for mass production starting sometime in the middle of next year.

From the original article, there is also a company looking to produce the same technology in a 15.4 inch screen.  Bigger Tablet PCs or more laptop’s with touch ability??
