Nexus 4 16GB Shipping Times Get Even Better

Published

on

While the Nexus 4 8GB has seen its shipping times get a little worse after making its return to the Google Play Store last week, the Nexus 4 16GB has actually seen its shipping times improve as it’s now listed as shipping in less than a week.

Over the weekend, the Nexus 4 8GB saw its shipping times change and unfortunately, it was for the worse. While the device made its debut listed as shipping out in one to two weeks, the device now is listed as shipping out in two to three weeks, a much lengthier proposition for those looking to snag Google’s cheapest unlocked Nexus 4 option.

The Nexus 4 16GB has seen its shipping times, surprisingly, improve.

And while it isn’t necessarily a sign that the Nexus 4 8GB is on its way to another sell out, it could mean that we see shipping times get progressively worse in the days and weeks ahead.

The issues don’t seem to be affecting the Nexus 4 8GB’s counterpart though as the Nexus 4 16GB seems to be coping well after reemerging from a sell out last week.

Like the 8GB Nexus 4, the Nexus 4 16GB debuted with shipping times listed at one to two weeks, much improved over the lengthy waits that customers saw before they sold out back in December. Now though, it looks like the device is shipping out much sooner than that as Google’s website now lists that device as shipping out in less than one week.

The Nexus 4 8GB saw its shipping times get pushed back.

This is the shortest wait we’ve ever seen from the Nexus 4 through the Google Play Store and it’s a sign that LG and Google are definitely getting their supply issues under control, at least for the 16GB model. Hopefully, this translates over to the 8GB Nexus 4 model sooner rather than later.

Either way, the good news is that neither device is sold out and neither boasts extremely lengthy shipping times, even after going on sale for the third time last week.

The Nexus 4 remains one of the best Android options on the market as it combines high-end hardware with current software (Android 4.2 Jelly Bean) and fantastic prices as far as unlocked devices are concerned.

Google charges $299 for a 8GB Nexus 4 and $349 for a 16GB Nexus 4, prices that are extremely competitive in the unlocked smartphone market.
