Nexus 5 Android Marshmallow Release Date

The Android Marshmallow release date is confirmed for Q3. Google announced this on stage at Google I/O and its website says that the update is still on track for a release by the end of September. Google maintains that the "full public release of Android M" will come "later in Q3."

While it's difficult to predict an exact Nexus 5 Android 6.0 release date, we'd expect the update to start rolling out in and around late September.

Google typically takes a staggered approach to its Nexus Android release dates so we might not see the Nexus 5 Android Marshmallow release happen on the first day of availability. It usually rolls its updates out a few at a time so there's a chance we see it emerge in October or later. 

At this point though, unless the company suffers setbacks, we'd expect the Nexus 5 Android Marshmallow release to arrive in late September or in October.
