Standard Google OTA Process

You can count on Google using its standard release protocol for its remainingNexus Android 5.1.1 roll outs. That entails a few different things.

First, a dump into the AOSP before the start of the OTA roll out. Then, shortly thereafter, we should see the start of the OTA. Google's OTA roll outs typically take a week or two to complete so most people won't see the updates on the first day.

You'll almost certainly be able to install the software ahead of the OTA though. You can count on the appropriate files being found in and around the start of the OTA. Nexus users who know how to sideload will then be able to get the files on board.
