Nexus Android 5.1.1 Release: 10 Things to Count On Now

Android 5.1.1 Problems

You can count on hearing about Android 5.1.1 problems. In fact, we're already hearing complaints about Android 5.1.1 issues. Nexus 7 users have been the most vocal though we've seen Nexus 10 and Nexus 9 users complain as well.

We expect Android 5.1.1 problems to impact the Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 6, and Google's other tablets though we don't expect to see widespread complaints like we did with Android 5.1.

Android 5.1.1 appears to have plugged up many of the issues plaguing Android 5.1. It's extremely solid on our Nexus 7, Nexus 7 2012 and Nexus 9 and we're hearing similar feedback from other tablet users. That's a great sign for those of you that haven't gotten the update yet.

Will there be problems? Of course, but we probably won't see a repeat of the memory leak problem that arrived with Android 5.1.
