No Man’s Sky Release Date: 10 Things to Know

Published

on

The No Man’s Sky release date is just a few hours away, which means there is not much time left until you can play this exciting exploration and planet forming game.

As the No Man’s Sky release date nears, we are seeing major leaks that spoil some of the game and streamers are showing off planets that don’t always match what gamer’s expected.

One of the most interesting issues discovered so far is that it is possible to go to the center of the galaxy faster than anticipated, in less than 30 hours. We show you where to look for more information, but don’t share any spoilers here.

There is a new No Man’s Sky patch that includes many changes to the game and the in-game universe. If you are getting the game for the first time tonight or tomorrow, you are good, but if you already played you may need to start over.

Here’s a closer look at what you can do in No Man’s Sky, a new No Man’s Sky video and what you need to know about the No Man’s Sky release date that is nearly here.

We’ll walk through the most important No Man’s Sky release date details including deals, where you can buy, pre-order bonuses and special editions.

We’ve added in No Man’s Sky pre-load details and multiplayer details as well as missions and a new video walking through No Man’s Sky features. We’ll also show you how to find the No Man’s Sky Limited Edition in stock.

Even though No Man’s Sky is an online game, you will not play directly with your friends, so you don’t need PlayStation Plus to play the game.

A new No Man’s Sky video shows off the first of the four main tasks you have in the game. Exploring, Fighting, Trading and Surviving on the 18 quintillion planets in the in-game universe.

In late July we see a new space combat No Man’s Sky video that shows off how you can fight in the sky throughout the game.

Another No Man’s Sky video shows us how trading works in the game so you get a bigger look at what to expect when you start playing.

The final No Man’s Sky release hype video is about survival. While you travel from planet to planet you need to stay alive. Deadly animals can pose a threat, but you also have to worry about radiation, heat, weather and acid rain in addition to sentinel drones and the need for oxygen.

In No Man’s Sky you explore space in, “an infinite procedurally generated galaxy.” That’s a fancy way of saying you are playing a science fiction game where you travel from planet to planet to explore new environments on planets and stars.

Everything you need to know about the No Man's Sky release date.

Everything you need to know about the No Man’s Sky release date.

During this exploration in your space ship you will be able to see species that no one has seen before. There will be artifacts on different planets that you can collect to help unlock the secrets of the universe. You can choose to share your discoveries or keep them a secret. As you travel across the universe you can leave a mark on planets that other players will discover.

There is more to No Man’s Sky than exploring planets. You face danger with each encounter. There are dogfights in space, but watch out your ship is not a strong one designed for long-term engagements. You will also go into a first person combat mode on the ground. The developer warns, “one mistake could see you lose everything. In No Man’s Sky, every victory and every defeat has lasting consequences.”

Now that you’re familiar with the No Man’s Sky game, this is what you need to know about the No Man’s Sky release date and overall release.

If my computer has an amd processor equal to the i3 will I be able to play?

    • Bill

      05/25/2016 at 6:04 am

Sadly, no. I have the i3 and did a system requirements test and you can’t run it even on low.

      • Sid

        05/28/2016 at 7:10 pm

The game isn’t even out yet

        • Sam Gill

          06/21/2016 at 4:28 am

But you can still check the requirements since the specs have come out… Come on, its not rocket science. A simple google search of “no mans sky pc specs” could help you with not looking like an idiot.

          • Sid

            06/21/2016 at 11:26 am

I’m not asking for the specs (they are at the end of the article anyways), I’m asking if a processor such as the fx 4350 is as good or better than the i3. I built my first pc a few days ago, so I don’t really know these things.

Lol pc master race bullshit a load of child made up crap that is right there consoles existed before those big chunky balls of crap pcs move over we are the gods us console players your just the little juniors failing to grow up

    • DARREN ROSSGunther WHeeler

      05/28/2016 at 6:16 am

Lol, kid… you know the computer came before the console… right? Kind of hard for a console to exist if the computer didn’t exist beforehand. You dolt.

      • Sid

        05/28/2016 at 7:08 pm

He’s probably some little kid who doesn’t know squat but acts like he does. If we wasn’t a dumb little kid you’d hear a valid argument instead of bs.

          06/07/2016 at 9:34 am

Actually JRS is correct, the first console game was released in 1972 and the first personal PC was released in 1975. Know your history before you call someone an idiot.

          • Sid

            06/07/2016 at 9:51 am

I don’t care about the first game. Your friend here said that consoles came before computers, which drives me nuts. Know your English before you correct someone in history.

      • Jerry

        06/07/2016 at 9:39 am

the console is a computer, just like the PC is a computer.

      • Michael Hernandez

        07/19/2016 at 10:19 am

Doesnt matter. Whichever is true. The truth is none of you probably know the first thing about computers except for how to install a graphics card. You have no idea of how a kernel works, probably dont even have a fundamental of logical circuit design. Yet you claim PC Master Race. So your mommy bought you a shiny new alienware and you think that makes you better that others? Ill tell you what, I am a successful software engineer and systems architect, and I can slap the shit out of you and your mom with the size of my wallet.

Consoles are an affordable ITB solution that provides and effective means for a generalize standard of gaming, such that the masses have better access to an enjoyable experience.
So screw the PC Master Race, my PC is for my unix / linux distros, my console is for my gaming.

Also I have reptitive stress injury from all that money I made as a REAL PC Master and now cant use keyboards and mouse peripherals without massive pain. So /bin/bash -c “/bin/boot | /bin/contrib/your-ass”

        • Mr. Tinkleberry

          07/21/2016 at 12:06 pm

If you’re wallet is so fat, why play on a POS console when you can get a much better gaming experience on an expensive PC build? You say you play consoles because they are affordable then brag about all your money.

And lol nerd with your arthritis. Sucks to suck!

    • Serai no Sekai

      06/07/2016 at 5:16 am

First computer was created 1945 and the first console in 1972

      • Jerry

        06/07/2016 at 9:35 am

since we are not gaming on mainframes, we have to use the personal computer as the benchmark.

    • Raymond Jones

      07/24/2016 at 3:56 pm

Jonathan that was just stupid to say, but since you look like a perverted retard in your pic, we kind of understand why you think the way you do.

I’m trying to build a pc before it comes out so I can pre order it. You could easily play farcry primal on recommended settings on your build, so no man’s sky must play like a charm!

Why everybody argues on Pc vs Console,, they both have their advantages. Live with that, I used to have a ps2 and loved it then switched to Pc for strategy games and mods, it s just preference.
