Nokia Lumia 900 Delayed Until April

Published

on

Way back in January, Nokia announced a phone called the Lumia 900, a 4G LTE handset that is destined for AT&T’s 4G LTE network. And while it never officially announced a release date, a developers newsletter had said March and we had heard March 18th, we assumed that it would be coming this month. Not the case says BGR who is reporting that the device has been delayed until April.

Nokia hasn’t come out and said anything just yet but it looks like those waiting to get the first 4G LTE Windows Phone from Nokia will have to wait just a bit longer to get a hold of it.

How long?

Nokia Lumia 900 Delayed Until April

It looks like April 22nd is the new target date for the release of the Lumia 900. That’s more than a month and a half away. Fortunately, it still appears that the phone that we awarded Best in Show at CES 2012 will still be checking in at $99.99 with a new two-year contract.

That’s a fantastic price, even with the delay.

Now again, this isn’t coming from AT&T or Nokia or Microsoft so until there is confirmation, there is a sliver of hope. However, we will say that the silence from all three companies has been extremely odd, especially for a device of this caliber.

Had the device been ready for March 18th, you would think that at least one of them would have been offering up pre-orders.

Instead, silence.

So, it appears that those of you in the U.S. who have been waiting and waiting and waiting for this phone to arrive, ever since it was announced two months ago are going to have to keep on waiting and waiting waiting.

Quite the shame.
