Nokia Lumia 900 Features Leak Out

Published

on

A short time ago we were treated to what we think are images of Nokia’s upcoming Lumia 900 Windows Phone and today, it appears we have some more information that puts a face on a smartphone that is believed to be headed to AT&T’s 4G LTE network. Pocketnow has received information that the Nokia Ace and Lumia 900 are one in the same and that the device will be sold globally as Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone.

The device also saw a number of features leak out. First, the operating system. There had been whispers about a possible release with Windows Phone Tango but it appears that this is going to be a Windows Phone Mango device from the get-go.

Second, it appears the Lumia 900 will be launching with a 4.3-inch WVGA display, an 8MP camera, 512MB of RAM, as well as a 1830mAh battery. It should weigh 160 grams, which is 18 more grams than the Lumia 800.

The heaviness likely comes from the fact that the Lumia 900 will have an LTE radio on board in addition to the larger screen. It will apparently share the same thickness as the Lumia 800 though with both checking in at 12mm.

The Lumia 900 should also have the 1700MHz band which will be compatible with T-Mobile’s 3G. That of course will require a workaround because the device is expected to be carrier locked.

And while these details are merely rumor at this point, we should get some confirmation from Nokia soon as the company is expected to announce this, and possibly the Lumia 719 as well, next week at CES in Las Vegas.

Seems a little short on memory.  I have sen where it is supposed to have a 1.4 GHZ processor.  No matter as I’m not the least bit interested in this phone because of the ugly UI plus the fact that the Windows platform just doesn’t have all of the apps I like.

The UI is fine, and I havent yet run into an app desire I really want that I do not have. Most important apps are integrated into the OS. It’s a good first smartphone. I feel like those who would be leaving another OS would have a harder time since it may not have an app they used to use.

Just wish Nokia would bring in some of their retired designers..and design a phone that doesn’t look like everybody-else. No one else would have the guts!
Go ahead..look down-the-line at your favorite PhoneStore. Just about everything is alike…
    Black, square bricks….

Its 1.4GHZ processor is good enough to perform faster. I also like other features especially its unique design.
