Not at the Apple tablet event, but if I was…

AppleTabletStageRushYes, I too am disappointed in myself for re-using this lame joke, particularly since it’s way past its expiration date (curse the speed of the Internet), but whatever. Steve Jobs deserves the same “reverence” I show Steve Ballmer, and there’s no limit on how much love we can show the HP TC1100 – still one of the best slate tablets of all time! Also, I think this photo of me works much better than the one of me being grumpy. It’s like I’m really excited just moments before being tased and beat down by security.

LMAO! Too funny Sumocat! But when you’re right, you’re right! I’d absolutely kill for my 2730p display to be “detachable” from the base keyboard like the TC1100… and don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my 2730p.

I was following the event on my TC1100 here at the gym an a folk just asked me if it was the “new apple pc”.

Then I bursted out laughing after reading your post!

I’m STILL cracking up upon seeing that.

It really disappoints me that the whole Concerto/TC1000/TC1100 concept of “pure slate + detachable keyboard with a swivel hinge” is still extremely rare amongst new products.

Sure, the iPad did get a keyboard dock shown, but it really would’ve worked better if it were more TC1100-style.

I chuckled again anyway (even though I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing a TC1000 in the flesh)
