Apple packs in a new version of Safari with the OS X Yosemite update that includes a new look for the toolbar to help put the most important information within easier reach.
One of the cool new changes is that favorites appear in a small drop down when you are in a blank address bar, so you no longer need to lose space with a favorites bar, but the shortcuts are still there when you need them. Safari on OS X Yosemite also makes it easier to see all of your open tabs and to see the open tabs on your iPhone, iPad or another Mac. Apple says Safari is also better at keeping your privacy and delivers faster performance. You can also watch Netflix in Safari for up to two hours longer than on Mavericks.
