any idea what the requirements for being a student are?

I am a student, but an ‘older’ student & outside of the US. Don’t know if they check email domains or what. Would be helpful to decide to buy today or wait til tomorrow.

this is all grahl-software.com says – I’m assuming official confirmation means email address domain or transcript or some type of other proof:

Special offer for students only. We will ask for official confirmation if necessary. These special conditions cannot be combined with other discounts or coupons. For educational use only.

This offer is primarily meant for students, but 10% of the licenses may be used by faculty / teaching staff instead.

You should be able to send a copy of your student id or similar proof from your school or university by email if we ask for it after receiving your order. Our student pricing is not limited to US schools – whereever you are, you’re welcome. And your age doesn’t matter either.

Thanks for the tip. Picked this up last night at midnight. Awesome program. (Though now I know that the student deal can apply to faculty as well, I wish I’d waited ’til tomorrow.)

Have the huge file sizes that the program generates been fixed?

    Thanks

@sam – I have no clue. Download the trial of v2 and give it a try.

@Greg: Maybe a misunderstanding here. Our student pricing is so extremely discounted (goes down to only $2 per seat for 1000+ licenses) – we really only can do that for students. The only exception is if you buy 10 licenses or more (classroom or faculty licensing), then we allow 10% of these licenses to be used by faculty instead. Hope you understand this.
