Photos of Sprint-Bound LG Snapshot Leaked

It looks like LG is planning yet another smartphone for Sprint’s Now Network as the latest leaked device from the Life is Good manufacturer is the LG Snapshot, which has appeared on a blurry photo. The Snapshot has not yet been announced by Sprint nor LG and follows a string of leaked LG devices for the carrier, including the LG Eclipse and the LG Cayenne.

The Snapshot has the model number of LG LS730 and the device is said to be launching in the fourth quarter of this year. Likely, as the device is said to be lacking 4G LTE, 4G WiMax, and even NFC support, it will be a more low-end device. Interestingly, it seems that the LG Snapshot has a physical hardware home button that may be flanked on both sides by capacitive touch buttons, similar to the design on Samsung’s Galaxy S III, a device that’s also headed to Sprint. In the past, U.S. manufacturers–Sprint included–had opted for four capacitive buttons for the Android navigation keys rather than the trio that appears present on the Snapshot and the Galaxy S III, but with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, it appears that this button layout is gaining favor in the U.S.

The Snapshot will have a WVGA display, 768 MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, Qualcomm single-core S2 CPU with Adreno 205 GPU, and front- and rear-facing cameras.

It’s unclear if the 3G-only device will head to Sprint’s post-paid network or will be coming to Sprint’s pre-paid brands such as Virgin Mobile USA or Boost Mobile, but according to sources to Brief Mobile, it appears the phone will be headed to Sprint’s network of some sort.
