In this post, we’ll go over everything you need to know about each device. What is similar, like dual front-facing speakers, what makes them different, and if the Pixel 2 XL upgrades are worth the higher price tag.

If you’re like me, you don’t upgrade to a new phone every single year. And even if you do, some skipped the Pixel XL because it was impossible to buy for months on end. Or because some of the features and changes weren’t big enough to convince you to switch.

Well, now the Nexus 6P is two years old. If you didn’t see enough to warrant an upgrade, we recommend looking again. That’s because some major changes took place over the last two years. The Pixel 2 XL is made by Google “inside and out” and they put a lot more focus into it than Nexus devices. Google went back to dual front-facing speakers for the Pixel 2 XL, the camera is better, and you get a bigger screen in a smaller package.

Most who bought the Nexus 6P did for a few different reasons. It runs stock Android, had great sound, the camera was decent, and because it was a Nexus phone. Take everything you love about the Nexus 6P and put it in a better package, and that’s the Pixel 2 XL.

The Nexus 6P is still a great phone, but it’s getting a little old and does have a few cons. Our information below breaks down all of the changes, upgrades, and new features.  If you’re still on the fence, here’s how the two stack up against each other and what you’ll get from Google’s latest and greatest.

Pixel 2 XL vs Nexus 6P: Display

Pixel 2 XL vs Nexus 6P: Display

First things first, we need to talk about the display. The Nexus 6P was the last big-screen smartphone from Google. Even the Pixel XL from 2016 only had a 5.5-inch screen. A lot of users love the Nexus 6P because it had a huge 5.7-inch screen.

However, that is a fairly standard screen size on Android smartphones here in 2017.

If you're interested in getting a phone with a big screen, so you skipped the Pixel XL, consider the new Pixel 2 XL. It has a giant 6-inch Quad-HD OLED screen that looks great. It's bigger than the Nexus 6P, has a slightly higher resolution, it's more durable, and you'll love the rounded edges of the actual screen.

Google is using an LG-made P-OLED display on the new Pixel 2 XL, so you'll enjoy excellent colors, vibrant videos, and the new Always-On Display feature is a nice touch.

After two years with the 6p i can confidently say : 1. no, battery doesn’t show sign of wear and holds up for extended use.
    2. The 6p is made with much better quality of production and materials, which makes it more durable.
    3. Pixel 2 xl got a bigger screen and that’s it, it doean’t look better and it is much more prone for shattering – lg really messed up this time.
    3. Google first announced the pixel 2 will come with a snapdragon 836 proccessor, which turned out to be a lie. Major downside for google and for me a reason not to buy their products.
    4. Back in the time up until nexus 5, google made sure the nexus will be the most powerful phone in the market for a fair price. today it’s just another phone, that costs like an iphone but shares the quality of a nockoff chinese galaxy s3.

    Bottom line
You messed up google, you really messed up. And i’m looking at you too LG.
