PlayStation 4 Launch Title Lineup Revealed

Today, Sony announced its launch lineup of games that will be available for the PlayStation 4 on November 15. Frankly, we’re a little surprised that it’s taken this long for the company to unveil the list, as we’ve known about the Xbox One side for a while now. Nonetheless, PlayStation gamers can finally get a glimpse at what they’ll be able to play on their new consoles come next month.

The PlayStation 4 will launch with 21 titles in all, with some of those being smaller indie titles. PS4 gamers will be able to purchase games like Killzone: Shadow Fall, Assassin’s Creed 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25 and NBA 2K14.

Other games include Sony Computer Entertainment WorldWide Studios Titles such as Flower, Knack, Resogun and Sound Shapes. We’ll also be treated with Angry Birds Star Wars, Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Editon, Lego Marvel Super Heroes and Skylanders SWAP Force.

As for the indie titles, Contrast, Pinball Arcade, Super Motherload, Tiny Brains and Warframe will be available for the PS4 on launch day.

Both Watch Dogs and DriveClub were originally planned to be launch titles for the PlayStation 4, but they’ve since been delayed into 2014. Watch Dogs was a highly-anticipated game for the PS4, and many of us at GottaBeMobile have been excited to play it, but it looks like we’ll be waiting a little while longer. As for DriveClub, that looks to be Forza 5’s main competitor, but Forza 5 will get a head start this year, as we won’t see DriveClub until next year, unfortunately.

Obviously, more games will be on the way before 2014 hits. Sony has confirmed in the past that the PlayStation 4 will have 33 games to its name by December, and the company notes that its current list of launch titles is subject to change, so it’s possible more games could be added on (or taken off, but we hope it’s the former).

The PlayStation 4 is set to launch on November 15, which is a week before the Xbox One’s launch on November 22. The PS4 will also cost $399 less than the Xbox One, so we’ll see how that affects sales going into the holiday season.
