The purple Samsung Galaxy S3 is likely a Sprint exclusive, and is an odd addition this late in the phone’s lifecycle, but a cheap price could entice shoppers. Samsung is no stranger to bright colors, with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 arriving in martian pinkamber brown and ruby wine, though not in the U.S. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is destined for Sprint in white and black, just like the iPhone 5.

In addition to showing off the deep purple Samsung Galaxy S3, the leak hints at Sprint’s long-term Galaxy S3 pricing once the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 release takes place. Sprint is already offering the Galaxy S3 for $99, but only to new customers. This leak shows a $99 price that does not appear to include any new customer savings. We are already seeing Samsung Galaxy S3 discounts down to as low as $10 with a new two-year contract.

Some of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 features, like Smart Scroll, which allows users to scroll with motion and eye-tracking, may make it to the Galaxy S3 in a future update.

Overall the Samsung Galaxy S3 in purple is a bright addition to Sprint’s lineup, but shoppers who want bright colors should seriously consider the Galaxy S4 with a case, for a better overall device with a longer support life of updates ahead of it.

The purple Galaxy S3 looks good but I agree, if you like the bright colors, you can still get that but why not go for the better phone with the Galaxy S4 and a protective colorful case.
