We briefly mentioned this in our first slide about the display, but it needs to be said once again. The physical size of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ is truly impressive. Samsung managed to fit some of the biggest screens we've seen in a flagship smartphone without making them physically big devices.
Some chose not to get the Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy Note 7 simply because they're too big. It's the same reason the iPhone 7 or iPhone SE is popular. Not everyone wants a huge phone. Lucky with the Galaxy S8+ you get the best of both worlds. The giant 6.2-inch Quad-HD screen fits in a device nearly the exact same size as the iPhone 7 Plus. That big screen arrives in a package similar to the 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge, as you can see from our comparison image above. Basically this shows the tiny difference in size over the Galaxy S8 or S7 Edge, yet you get so much more from the screen size to the longer battery life. It's a small trade-off that many will be happy to make. |
