Refurbished iPhone 5s & iPhone 5c Arrive With Discounts

AT&T is selling the refurbished iPhone 5s for $100 off and the refurbished iPhone 5c for $75 off, marking the arrival of some of the best iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c deals around.

The refurbished iPhone 5s models are available in every color and size that Apple offers on new iPhone 5s, while the refurbished iPhone 5c options are limited.  No matter which phone users choose, by going refurbished users get a much cheaper product. 

Users who want to buy a refurbished iPhone 5s need to sign a new two-year contract with AT&T as this is the only way that the carrier offers the “Certified Like New” iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models.

The iPhone 5s refurb is available online from AT&T in gold, space grey and silver with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB options available. The refurbished iPhone 5s price starts at $99 on a two-year contract and goes up to $299 for the 64GB model.

The iPhone 5c refurb models are only available in white, despite the many colors Apple sells online. Right now AT&T is out of stock of the refurbished iPhone 5c 16GB which starts at $24.99 with a two-year contract. Users can buy a refurb iPhone 5c 32GB model for $124.99. Both of these deals offer a $75 discount over the iPhone 5c purchased new from AT&T or Apple.

AT&T also sells a refurbished iPhone 5 for as low as $0.99 for the 16GB model, but it is currently out of stock. Shoppers can currently buy a refurbished iPhone 5 64GB model for $199 on contract, a savings of $200.

Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint do not sell a refurbished iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c model online or in stores. Apple does not traditionally sell refurbished iPhones in the section of the store where they sell many refurbished iPads, iPods and Mac computers.

The most important distinction about the refurbished iPhone 5s and refurbished iPhone 5c sold by AT&T is that these are not sold direct from Apple. Because AT&T uses a third-party to refurbish these iPhone models there is no typical one year Apple warranty. AT&T offers a 90 day warranty on the refurbished iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. Users who want a longer warranty or more protection will need to add a monthly plan from AT&T, buy SquareTrade or find out if Apple will sell a AppleCare+ warranty on a refurbished iPhone 5s.
