Refurbished Late-2013 iMacs Now Available at a Discount

If you’re in the market for the latest version of Apple’s iMac, you may want to check out the refurbished units that Apple just recently put up on its refurbished storefront. You can get a late-2013 iMac for as low as $1,100. Granted, this is for the 21.5-inch model with the slower 2.7GHz quad-core Core i5, but it comes with 8GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

$1,100 isn’t bad at all for the latest iMac model, but it is refurbished, meaning that it’s technically used. However, Apple’s refurbished products are some of the best on the market, and as someone who usually only buys refurbished from Apple, I can tell you that the company’s refurbished products are practically brand new.

As for the 27-inch variant, you can get one for as low as $1,530, compared to the $1,800 starting price for a brand new model. This is definitely a very decent discount, but you have to be careful when shopping for refurbished Apple products, as stock and sell out randomly at any time, so if you see refurbished iMac you like, but are wanting to wait a couple of days to decide whether or not you want to buy it, it could be gone by then, and it’s usually a mystery as to when a specific model will come back in stock.

Perhaps the biggest savings you’ll get with a refurbished iMac is $410, when you buy the 27-inch iMac with a 3.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 for $2,290. Even though that’s still a lot of money, $410 is a huge percentage that gets knocked off.

Of course, Apple’s refurbished store also includes refurbished MacBook Pro units and MacBook Airs, as well as iPads and an assortment of iPods. You won’t find refurbished iPhones, however, but you can easily find those used for a decent discount on eBay or Craigslists; just make sure that you aren’t getting scammed.
