Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Update Leaks Again

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update has leaked again ahead of its release with owners of the GT-7100 variant of the Galaxy Note 2 now able to install a test version of the Android 4.3 update early ahead of its official arrival.

Over the course of the past few days, we’ve seen the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update confirmed and we’ve seen details about the update leak out. Samsung confirmed the upgrade numerous times recently and it also announced that it would be coming with a number of new enhancements to go along with the features on board Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

While the software still isn’t out yet, those who own the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-7100, a device based in Asia and looking to take an early plunge can now do so thanks to SamMobile. The site has leaked out a test version of the GT-7100 Android 4.3 firmware which looks like it has most of what will be coming with the official roll out.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 owners who aren’t adept at installing leaked test firmware should stay away from this update and wait for the official OTA to roll out instead. Those who have done this before should be able to get the leaked software up and running fairly quickly. This is the second Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 leak and the first since the software received confirmation.

Fortunately, for those that aren’t keen on a leaked test update, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 update should be extremely close. A leaked timeline suggests that the Galaxy Note 2 will get the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update in the United States in November, a sign that the global roll out could be extremely close. The U.S. is typically a few weeks or more behind the rest of the world which means that an official roll out is imminent.

The Galaxy Note 2 will follow the Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update and it will likely be joined by the Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update. Samsung is making a huge push with Android 4.3, not only to deliver new big time features, but support for the company’s Samsung Galaxy Gear, the watch-like accessory that debuted alongside the Galaxy Note 3.
