Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Moves Closer to Launch in U.S.

The Samsung launch event set to take place on October 24th is rumored to be for the U.S. launch of the Galaxy Note 2. And now, there is evidence that backs that up as three Galaxy Note 2 devices for AT&T, T-Mobile,and Verizon have passed through the FCC on their way to their respective carriers.

Engadget is reporting that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 devices headed to AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon passed through the FCC recently which means that they have all moved closer to launch here in the U.S.

Sprint’s device was not part of the bunch but we imagine that it will pass through the FCC’s grasp soon as well, if it hasn’t already.

The three devices that passed through the FCC include the SGH-i317 which is thought to be AT&T’s Galaxy Note 2, the SCH-i605 Galaxy Note 2 which is said to be Verizon’s model and the SGH-T889 which is T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 2. All three have 4G LTE on board it seems which bodes well for the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2’s future.

In addition to the AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon devices, U.S. Cellular will also launch the Galaxy Note 2 and it already is taking pre-orders for the device though it hasn’t said when it will launch it.

We should know all of the details in just a few weeks though as Samsung has lined up an event on October 24th that looks to be the U.S. launch date for the Galaxy Note 2. It’s at that event where we should hear about all of the details, pricing and release dates, in regards to the Galaxy Note 2 in the U.S.

Thus far, the only things we know are that it’s heading to multiple carriers, that is sports some serious hardware including a 5.5-inch HD display, quad-core processor, and S-Pen support, and that it will likely be priced at $299.99 though the pricing remains unconfirmed for any carriers other than U.S. Cellular.

Look for all of the details to emerge later this month now that these devices have passed through the FCC.
