Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Leaks Continue Well Ahead of Launch

Published

on

While the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 likely won’t be out until later this year, it hasn’t stopped it from leaking out to the surface. And in the past couple of days, we’ve seen some of the most interesting leaks yet including an alleged sample photo taken with its rumored 13MP camera and now, a set of benchmarks that seem to point to several features including a 1.6GHz processor and the still unreleased Android 4.3 update.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to be coming out later on this year with all signs pointing to an arrival in September at the IFA conference in Berlin, Germany. September 6th is currently thought to be a possible launch date, meaning, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is likely still a ways off from hitting shelves around the world.

The lengthy wait until its arrival hasn’t stopped Samsung Galaxy Note 3 leaks, speculation and rumor with the device becoming one of the most heavily rumored device of the year. Most recently, we saw a potential photo taken with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 emerge, a photo that was seemingly taken by a device called the GT-N7200, a device that appears to have a 13MP camera.

The Galaxy Note 3, amongst other things, has been rumored to have a 13MP camera on board. And while this GT-N7200 isn’t necessarily the Galaxy Note 3, it’s certainly possible, given that the Galaxy Note 2 emerged as GT-N7100.

This GT-N7200 has emerged again today in the form of a AnTuTu benchmark, discovered by Chinese language site MyDrivers, that seems to point to the device, at least at the moment, as having a 1.6GHz processor and Android 4.3 on board. That’s the same processor speed as the Exynos 5 Octa in the Galaxy S4 though the software is the unreleased version of Android that has been rumored for a June release alongside the white Nexus 4.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may have been benchmarked, well ahead of its release.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may have been benchmarked, well ahead of its release.

Benchmarks can easily be spoofed so it’s entirely possible that this is fake. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 isn’t expected to touch down until later this year, something that increases the likelihood of this being fake. Still, Samsung is likely testing the device and the specifications aren’t out of the question.

At this point, it’s best to take the benchmark with a grain of salt, just as with any other Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumor. It’s also likely that some of its hardware and software could change as Samsung is likely just testing the phone at this point.

Thus far, the device is thought to have a 5.99-6-inch 1080p display, Galaxy S4 inspired design, 13MP camera, and at least one new software feature called Samsung Orb.
