Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date & Specs Line Up

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date and Galaxy Note 4 specs continue to line up ahead of its highly anticipated launch that’s expected to take place just a few weeks from now in September.

For months, we’ve seen Samsung Galaxy Note 4 rumors hint at the Galaxy Note 4 specs and the Galaxy Note 4 release. And as we’ve moved closer to the fall, the Galaxy Note’s usual launch window, we’ve started to see those rumors pick up and firm up ahead of the company’s inevitable unveiling.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launch date rumors have centered around the IFA conference in Berlin, Germany, the same conference that Samsung has used to announce all three Galaxy Note models. Galaxy Note 4 launch rumors put the announcement on September 3rd, just ahead of IFA 2014, and a new report out of Korea backs that up.

Galaxy Note 4 S Pen

A new report from The Korea Times suggests that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note 4 on September 3rd. The date falls two days ahead of the start of IFA 2014. This lines up with everything that we’ve been seeing and hearing in regard to the Galaxy Note 4 launch date so there is a good chance that we’ll see the Galaxy Note 4 emerge in a few weeks time.

Samsung tends to send out its invites about a month before its events and this new information suggests that the company will send out invitations soon to confirm the Galaxy Note 4’s launch.

The company also told The Wall Street Journal today that it plans to release a big screen smartphone within the next six months. That device is likely the Galaxy Note 4 though it did not specify model names.

Furthermore, the report claims that Samsung is looking to get the Galaxy Note 4 out of the doors in an effort to compete with the iPhone 6. This lines up with recent Galaxy Note 4 release date rumors that point to a much faster release this year. The Galaxy Note 3 was announced on September 4th last year and hit shelves in late September. Exactly how much quicker the Galaxy Note 4 release might be is unclear, at least for the moment.

The report also details several supposed Galaxy Note 4 specifications, many of which line up with the Galaxy Note 4 rumors that have been swirling around in the past few weeks.

Galaxy Note 4 Features

Galaxy Note 4 specs will apparently trump the hardware on the Galaxy S5 and feature both flat and curved models. The curved version of the Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be produced in limited quantities while the flat model will likely land for the masses. Both are expected to feature a 5.7-inch display, the same size as the screen found on the Galaxy Note 3.

The device is also expected to have a UV sensor, Qualcomm processors with support for advanced LTE, and perhaps, a metal frame. Galaxy Note 4 design rumors have remained fairly scarce up to this point though rumors have continued to point to the inclusion of metal material, something that could help it compete wit the iPhone 6.

Galaxy Note 4 Display

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is rumored to be coming to AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon in the United States. All four carriers, along with U.S. Cellular, carried the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 2. Smaller carriers have historically avoided the Galaxy Note series and it appears that that could be the case once again.

Apple’s iPhone 6, which is expected to have a larger display, is rumored for arrival in September as well. iPhone 6 release date rumors put a launch date in the middle of the month with a release at the back end of September. The device, with its larger display and metal design, poses a threat to the success of the Galaxy Note 4 and it appears that Samsung is looking to get its competitor out early with a ton of firepower to give it a fighting chance.
