Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release: Rumors Firm Up

Published

on

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date remains a mystery at this point but the Galaxy Note 4 release window is far from one as Samsung continues to hint at very specific details regarding the launch of its upcoming Galaxy Note 3 successor.

In early September, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 3, the company’s current Galaxy Note model. The Galaxy Note 3 will be the device that the Galaxy S5 joins on shelves in April and it will remain an option throughout 2014 thanks to its powerful hardware, updated software and a price tag that should decline as the months go on.

Later this year, the Galaxy S5 will likely be joined by a new Galaxy Note model, a device that is currently dubbed Samsung Galaxy S4. This fourth-generation Galaxy Note remains mysterious though there is one aspect of the next Galaxy Note that continues to emerge ahead of its expected launch date.

Back in January, a Samsung executive said that the next Galaxy S (Galaxy S5) would be accompanied by new wearables when it arrived in the spring. The Galaxy S5 will be joined by the Gear 2 and the Gear Fit when it touches down on April 11th,  a date that falls squarely inside of spring.

The executive also stated that the next Galaxy Note would arrive in the fall and that it would also come with new wearable products. Samsung’s Galaxy Note series has always arrived in the fall ahead of the holiday shopping season and it has done so at IFA, a trade show that takes place every year in Berlin.

A report from Bloomberg suggests that the Galaxy Note 4 release will come during the second half of the year which lines up with Samsung’s history and the information that has emerged thus far.

If those clues weren’t enough, Samsung’s CEO JK Shin reportedly confirmed the Galaxy Note 4’s release for the fall, an assertion that backs up early information and points to business as usual.

The information comes from a report from KBench, a report that was widely circulated last week due to Shin’s comments about a possible premium Galaxy S5 smartphone. The tidbit about the Galaxy Note 4 release was overlooked even though it’s equally as important.

So, for the moment, all signs point to a Galaxy Note 4 launch and release in the fall, and perhaps, at IFA 2014 in Berlin which is set to kick off on September 5th. Samsung’s Galaxy S5 arrived at Unpacked 5 Episode 1 and it could be that the Galaxy Note 4 arrives during Episode 2. Last year’s Galaxy Note 3 debuted at the company’s Episode 2 launch event.

An exact Galaxy Note 4 release date will remain in shadows up until the Galaxy Note 4’s debut on stage. Samsung managed to keep the Galaxy S5 release a secret all the way up until its Unpacked unveiling. Typically, Samsung releases its products just a few weeks after announcing them on stage.

Galaxy Note 4 rumors are scarce though they have centered on one big feature. The device is rumored to have a high-resolution display that could be bent to provide better viewing angles. The device isn’t expected to have a foldable display though Samsung is reportedly working on a foldable smartphone for next year.

Dual sim and 6 inches or bigger. Samsung just needs to bury every other competitor. Camera, resolution, processor, ram, everything. Take the Z ultra concept and make it 100 times better.

I love my Note 3! This is by far the “Best” phone on the market. Hands down. I do think Samsung could improve on the camera front & back. Signal quality could be better too. My son and wife also have Galaxy phones and on numerous times they have full 4G signal and I’m at 2 or 3 bars on 3G. So it’s not the carrier (Verizon). It’s gotta be the phone. Stella, the price will be the same as always. About $700 US. In my opinion. I wish I could invest in Samsung.
