Galaxy Note 5 Release Date in September

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date is still an unknown but we're hoping that it lands sometime in September. Here's why.

As of right now, Apple's iPhone 6s release date is rumored for September. Apple is widely expected to introduce a big screen iPhone 6s Plus to replace the 5.7-inch iPhone 6 Plus from last year and we'd love to be able to compare it to the Galaxy Note 5 right away. 

Obviously, a parallel launch with the iPhone 6s Plus isn't ideal for Samsung but it's excellent for consumers looking to buy a new big screen smartphone. If these two phones launch in and around the same time, we'll be able to compare specs on paper and then compare them in hand. No waiting around waiting for a company to make its move. 

If Samsung launches early, then we have to sit around and wait for the iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus to materialize. If Apple launches early, then we have to wait for Samsung.

Our hope, as consumers, is that the two companies do something similar to last year's Galaxy Note 4/iPhone 6 launch and release their next-gen models right at the start of the holiday shopping season. May the best phone win.
