Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.0 Update Rolls Out Internationally

Published

on

A Dutch Samsung Galaxy Note user found that Samsung flipped the switch pushing out the recently predicted over the air update of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the popular Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone.

This news, along with the ROM that leaked online already, shows that the latest version of Android should show up on your Samsung Galaxy Note soon.

We learned that the update came in the form of a 318.99MB file offering some of the new features promised and demonstrated before in the video shown below.

When the update finally hits the US, it will offer some significant changes including some apps designed to work with the huge phone’s S Pen stylus. The new apps include the following:

  • Note
  • Meeting Note
  • Idea Note
  • Magazine
  • Travel
  • Diary
  • Recipe
  • Wolfram Alpha integration
  • Shape Match
  • Formula Match
  • Exclusive version of Angry Birds

You can also work with PDFs in the OS.

AT&T Galaxy Note Android 4.0 Update Leaks Out

The Note runs on AT&T’s 4G LTE network. It uses a dual-core Snapdragon CPU and offers a large 5.3-inch screen making it almost a tablet instead of just a phone.

I really like the Note. It tempts me but this silly problem of OS updates not showing up in a timely manner keeps me from making the switch from my tiny 3.5-inch iPhone. Google promised faster updates, but we really haven’t seen it materialize. For all our Note using friends, we hope this update will hit your phones sooner than later.

Hier ook de nieuwe update op me Note gezet.
Ben er erg ontevreden over, accu is nu zeer snel leeg toetsenbord. Staat regelmatig vast. Veel programma’s lopen vast. Kortom heel vervelend, ga gauw weer terug naar de oude versie, waardeloos.
