Samsung Galaxy Note Gets Reviewed, Unboxed

The Samsung Galaxy Note was not only one of the most intriguing devices at the IFA conference in Berlin but one of the most interesting devices of 2011. If you’re unfamiliar, the Galaxy Note combines both the qualities of a phone and a tablet into one device. It sports a 5.3-inch AMOLED display with 1280 x 800 pixels, a size in between that of tablet and phone.

It weighs just 178 grams, is just 9.65mm thick, has dual-cameras both in the front and back, and sports a massive 2500mAh battery. It also has support for a stylus so that you can write and draw on the screen.

All in all, it’s a unique device and one that we came away impressed by, even with the limited time we could spend with it.

And while we haven’t be able to get a more extensive hands-on with the device, our friends over at NewGadgets.de have and they have posted a lengthy review and unboxing video of the Galaxy Note.

The Galaxy Note will be launching in the UK on November 17th. Things are a little less clear for those of you in the U.S. though. It passed through the FCC with support for AT&T in September but neither the carrier nor Samsung have made anything official just yet.
