Samsung Galaxy Note Pro & Galaxy Tab Pro Confirmed

Published

Rumors in the buildup to CES 2014 pointed to a couple of Samsung Galaxy product announcements not called Samsung Galaxy S5. Instead, the company was rumored to be introducing two new tablets including the Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro. Samsung hasn’t announced anything just yet but that doesn’t matter. Both the Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro have been confirmed.

In late December, rumors pointed to three new Samsung product announcements in the first quarter. A Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, a Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, and a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. Samsung still hasn’t confirmed anything but it’s clear that several announcements will be taking place at CES 2014 in Las Vegas.

Thanks to photos shot outside the Las Vegas Convention Center, we now know that the Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro will be announced at some point during CES 2014. Banners depicting a Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro have been caught hanging at one of the entrances to the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center ahead of their respective announcements.

Samsung is holding a press conference tomorrow in Las Vegas and smart money is on the company announcing its new products there, on stage. The company is also believed to be introducing new Exynos processors, processors that could eventually find their way inside devices like the rumored Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro reportedly will come in 8.4-inch (16GB) and 10.1-inch (16GB) variants and black and white color options. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 will evidently sport 32GB of storage.

The Galaxy Note Pro’s specs will apparently sport specs similar to the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition though it’s expected to feature a larger battery and Android 4.4 KitKat, something that the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition does not yet have. The rest of the specifications are still firmly in the shadows though we suspect that they won’t stay that way for long.

Rumors point to a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 release in February though a specific date hasn’t been nailed down just yet.
