Samsung Galaxy S III Hits U.S. Cellular Tomorrow

The Samsung Galaxy S III for U.S. Cellular will be released tomorrow.

U.S. Cellular has confirmed that the 16GB Samsung Galaxy S III will be available online starting tomorrow and that it will be in retail locations by the end of the week. It did not provide a specific day that the device would hit stores but said that devices might arrive in some stores before Friday.

Those that wish to buy the phone online will be able to do so through U.S. Cellular’s website tomorrow.

The carrier will only be offering the 16GB model tomorrow. It will launch the 32GB Galaxy S III sometime in the days or weeks ahead. No specific launch date for the 32GB Galaxy S III was given which means those that crave more storage space are going to have to wait in the dark.

U.S. Cellular is going to, as expected, be selling the 16GB Galaxy S III for $199.99 which is a price that will come after a mail-in rebate is returned.

As for the 32GB model, the carrier will be asking for $249.99. That price will also come after a mail-in rebate of $100.

The devices will be the same Galaxy S III’s that we have seen launch on AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. It will be 4G LTE capable and it will feature some pretty hefty specifications.

U.S. Cellular’s Galaxy S III will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core processor to go along with a massive 2GB of RAM. It’ll also arrive with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface.

The carrier’s 4G LTE network isn’t widespread though.

U.S. Cellular’s 4G LTE network is currently available in markets in Iowa, Maine, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin.

However, the carrier has announced a massive expansion that is set to take place in the second half of 2012 that will bring its high-speed 4G LTE network to markets in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia.

    i think its bs that i preordered mine on june 12th when the preorders started and i have to wait 2 more weeks to get my phone. way to piss off your customers USCELLULAR
