These sequel to the widely popular Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S4, is rumored to be coming in the early part of next year with a Galaxy S4 launch date once again pegged for February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

According to a trusted source of MobileGeeks, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February, far sooner than the May, the month that the company launched the Samsung Galaxy S3.

This is the second time we’ve heard this rumor and while it still remains a rumor, the fact that multiple sources are now saying this throws a little bit more weight behind the possibility of a Q1 Galaxy S4 launch.

The Galaxy S4 may have a May release date.

MWC 2013 will be held from February 25th to February 28th and it could be one of those days that Samsung uses as a Galaxy S4 launch date. If MWC is the locale for the announcement, It’s likely that the company unveils the device at an Unpacked event on one of those days or, possibly a day beforehand.

As for a release date, it’s rumored to be taking place sometime in the middle of Q2 which means that Samsung might be looking to release the phone in May. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was announced and released in the month of May last year so this definitely makes quite a bit of sense.

Android manufacturers have, in the past, announced phones long before releasing them so it’s entirely possible that Samsung will do the same with the upcoming Galaxy S4 smartphone.

Details about the phone itself remain scarce though it’s rumored to have a full 1080p display, just like the Droid DNA, a display that will apparently be shown off at CES 2013 in January.

That display is rumored to be 4.99-inches in size and that could very well wind up being the size of the Galaxy S4 display. Previous rumors stated that it had a 5-inch display and that matches up nicely.

I hope this is true. I’m very interested. The S3 is old tech, and the Galaxy Note 2 is too big. This would be the alternative to an iPhone for me.
