Samsung Galaxy S5 Metal Design Rumored

Published

on

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has only been on shelves for a few weeks and already, there is chatter about a successor as a new rumor suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with an aluminum design rather than the plastic design that Samsung has used for its previous variants of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series of smartphones.

Just a few short weeks ago, Samsung released the Samsung Galaxy S4 into the wild to compete with two big name devices, the HTC One and the iPhone 5 from Apple. And while the Galaxy S4 sports a plastic design, the iPhone 5 and the HTC One both feature designs based on metal. For years, Samsung enthusiasts and average consumers have campaigned for new build materials for Samsung phones and while they didn’t arrive with the Galaxy S4, rumors suggest that there is a possibility with the Galaxy S5.

According to a new rumor from Android Geeks, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with an aluminum design based on Samsung’s Design 3.0 plans. It is said to be the first device to use this type of design. Rumors have suggested that the Galaxy Note 3 will follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy S4 and utilize a plastic design.

While this is certainly possible, given how early it is in the design process, we imagine that Samsung likely has a number of prototypes and ideas floating around for the Samsung Galaxy S5 design. What this means is that in the months ahead, Samsung will likely eliminate designs based on testing, meaning, there is no guarantee it will shift to metal.

Shifting away from plastic would also likely mean the absence of a removable back and quite possibly, the lack of a microSD card slot for expanded storage, two hallmarks of Samsung phones.

The Galaxy Note 3 could feature an improved camera with a 13MP sensor like the Galaxy S4.

The Galaxy S5 could replace the Galaxy S4’s plastic design.

Still, it could be that Samsung looks to make a splash, not only with a metal design, but with an unbreakable display when it takes the wrappings off the Galaxy S5 sometime next year.

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 just recently hitting shelves, a new Galaxy S5 likely won’t arrive until at least the spring of 2014.

The major complaint from the iphone sheep and what they hate the most from the Galaxy S3 and S4 is that is made with plastic and not aluminium and that’s what they think makes the iphone better.
Now the S5 with aluminium body will kill the iphone and they will have to find something else to critize.

The samsung galaxy s4 is no one in the world today no metter if its plastic or metal. The ishit 5 is no longer a real factor in the smartphones market since the samsumg galaxy is the real winning.
the samsung galaxy s4 gave to apple a death hit that kills all the apple hopes.
