Show Off Verizon 4G Speed on Video For a Shot at $10,000

There’s no doubt that Verizon 4G LTE is fast. In our tests we’ve found speeds that put most other carriers, and even some cable connections, to shame.

We’ve all seen the Verizon 4G LTE commercials where Verizon traces a rocket, an impending takeoff and fire and rescue workers. Now, Verizon is asking you to go all out and, “Put 4G LTE To the Test.”

If you create the best 4G LTE video, showing off the lightning fast speeds of 4G, you can win a grand prize of $10.000. The contest is looking for the most creative, outlandish and “gonzo” ways you can showcase the speed of 4G on Verizon.

Here’s the scoop on Verizon’s Field Testers Challenge

Now it’s your turn to show us how you’d test the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network. We’re looking for real people to document real-world tests that demonstrate our network’s capabilities. Videos can showcase our lightning-fast downloads, smooth, skip-free connection and seamless on-the-go coverage.

If you aren’t ready to bust out your digital camera to make a masterpiece, you can still enter for a shot at $500 for sharing three of the field tester videos submitted by other contestants. In all, Verizon is giving away $35,000 for creating or sharing about their fast 4G LTE network. If you’re as fed up with the latest Dunk Tank 4G LTE video as Adam Mills is, this is the perfect opportunity to show Verizon how you would test 4G LTE.

You can go scope out the competition, to see what you have to beat, or you can just share your favorites. The good news is that you have until August 20th to enter, but the bad news is competition is already looking pretty fierce. You can head over to the Verizon Tumblr contest page to see the current entries. You can see one of my favorite 4G LTE commercials below, even if I don’t have a decent video chat app on my Thunderbolt

There is still plenty of time to enter the contest. If you manage to get your video shot, cut and uploaded by the 4PM PST on July 29th, you also have a shot at the Early Entry Prize, but the contest will run through August 20th, so we suggest taking your time to create something really cool.

Might we suggest, the Old Spice Guy, a bucket of kittens, some ninjas and a mockup of the just announced Motorola Droid Bionic.
