Xbox Silent Hills Release Rumors

The Silent Hills release was confirmed for the PlayStation 4, something that left owners of Microsoft's Xbox One frustrated. And while there have been rumors regarding a potential release for Xbox, Microsoft quickly shot down the speculation. 

A recent rumor suggested that Silent Hills was nearly complete when it was cancelled and that Microsoft was trying to buy the series, possibly in an attempt to bring it over to the Xbox One. Xbox head Phil Spencer recently put those rumors to rest though.

Spencer says that the rumor "isn't true" and that he's "not sure where the rumor started" but that he doesn't want to mislead anyone. In other words, an Xbox One Silent Hills release is unlikely and those who own both a PS4 and Xbox One should temper expectations moving forward.
