Sony Outs Xperia J, Xperia T and Xperia V Android Phones

Sony is taking charge at IFA 2012 in Berlin with a collection of new Xperia Android smartphones and several Android tablets.

The Sony Xperia J, Xperia T and Xperia V Android phones are the latest announcements from Sony, and each device is taking a different approach to appealing to consumers.

The Sony Xperia T is the top of the line Sony smartphone, and while we still don’t know how much it will cost, which carriers it is going to or if it will ever land in the U.S. , we do know a few specs.

Sony Xperia T

The Sony Xperia T arrives.

The Xperia T comes with a 4.6-inch HD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution and boasts a 13MP camera with Sleep to Snap shutter technology for faster photos. The Xperia T includes features a non-removable battery, Micro SD and Micro SIM slots.

TechRadar offers a hands on with the Sony Xperia T smartphone, with more information, but no price details.

The Sony Xperia V includes 4G LTE connectivity and NFC technology that lets users pair bluetooth accessories faster and easier. The Xperia V also boasts, highest level of water resistance available in a smartphone.” according to The Verge’s coverage of Sony’s press event.

Sony includes a smaller 4.3-inch display in the Xperia V, but maintains a 720P resolution. The phone will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and includes the same 13MP shooter as the Xperia T.

Rounding out Sony’s new lineup is the budget Xperia J.This phone features a 5MP rear facing camera, ships with Ice Cream Sandwich and will arrive in black, white, gold and pink by the end of 2012. The phone will see a Jelly Bean update according to Sony reps.

    What’s with the color choice of pink? Why not red instead? How about gunmetal gray? And why gold? Hopefully it’s champagne gold. Everyone knows that silver is one of the most popular color but not gold. Bronze would actually be a better color.
