Sprint HTC One Max Supposedly Arriving November 15

We’ve known for a while now that the HTC One max is headed to AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, but today is the day we’re seeing anything as far as a solid release date. According to both Best Buy and Sprint’s website, the HTC One max will be arriving on November 15, which is this Friday.

Best Buy has the phone listed for $249, with a release date of November 15, while Sprint’s website lists a software update for the HTC One max with a release date of November 15 as well. We haven’t heard anything official from Sprint just yet, but it seems these two listings with the same release date shown are a good sign that we should expect the phone to arrive at the end of the week.

The HTC One max will also be available on AT&T and Verizon, but both carriers have yet to announce a solid release date. The closest we’ve come to getting an idea is Verizon’s extremely vague timeline of releasing “this holiday season.” We’re not sure when that will be exactly, but we wouldn’t surprised if we saw the device release for all three carriers in the same month.

The One max was initially announced last month, and it’s essentially just a slightly larger version of the HTC One. The phablet-style smartphone looks to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with its 5.9-inch full 1080p HD display. It also comes with a new fingerprint sensor on the back of the device that can be used to unlock the phone without entering in a passcode.

The phone runs on a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, with 32GB of internal storage and the same 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera that is featured in the original One. There are some slight differences, though. The One max includes the power button on the side, making it the first HTC device in a while where we’ve seen the power button not on the top. The One max also doesn’t include optical image stabilization this time around, but it still has the IR blaster found in the original One.

Obviously, the One max follows in the footsteps of the company’s original HTC One smartphone, featuring the same aluminum shell as the One and One mini. However, HTC made the back cover removable this time around, allowing access to a microSD card slot for those who want to expand the storage of the device on the cheap.
